New Life

Today we went out to George Junior Republic for the first time this semester. GJR is high school for troubled youth. We met the guys. The guys are really talkative and open. We opened up with a game of spoons. Then we did our Bible study. The group seems to be open to “spiritual” things. We talked about God’s word- Hebrews 4:12-13. We also talked about Jesus being the way, the truth, and the life. Our cottage parent wants to sit in on our studies. I wonder if he is a Christian.

Broken people are the most receptive. Some of these guys know how bad they are. They commented on Hebrews 4:13 and how they were doomed. But Christ can be their hope. God’s word is active and living. Please pray for the cottage ministry as we continue to minister to them. Pray that God will change their hearts.
