He must increase, but I must decrease. – John 3:30

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction. – Proverbs 1:7

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong. – 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. – Proverbs 16:18

Whatever good I do, is because of Christ. It is he who works in me to do his good pleasure. Oh! That Christ may work in me so that I boast all the more in Him.
