This weekend

Friday:
Went to work. At night, I went to caregroup at Fairfax Covenant Church. The sermon on Psalms 16 was excellent. (See preaching notes on the right hand menu.) Then we had a prayer time for those who felt like they needed to humble themselves before the Lord. I talked with and prayed with Tim. At like midnight, I went to see Chronicles of Riddick with Jacob, James, and Chris. Jacob’s apartment was really nice. He made me feel quite at home. After the movie, around 2 a.m., we went to Wendy’s.

Saturday:
Lenny and I went to Chinese Christian Church of Virginia, PCA. We heard Pastor Sam preach and ate lunch there. I bought a book on Luther and Calvin.

Sunday:
I went to church at FCC. I walked in a bit sleepy and wanting God to meet me. He was faithful. By the time the worship service was over, I was very energetic, encouraged, and joyful. Pastor spoke on how God disciplines those he loves. Hebrews 12. Church discipline is done out of love and to restore the member to fellowship with God. Today, church discipline is lacking, and that is ruining the church.

I bought 3 books for the seminary students to benefit from. Got the Celebration (Messages Sovereign Grace’s Eastern conference) for free. Exciting sermons to enjoy!

I played softball with the GMU caregroup. Until the darkness overwhelmed the park. Not too many injuries.

At night, I talked with a few friends and Lenny about life.
